I love him with my “YES”

This is my fourth boot camp on Summer Internship with GOD International. Day 1 and I’m already seeing how my obedience in previous boot camps, is paying off. I’m different. I show up for my team, and I do it with joy and faithfulness. I understand that I”m not on this trip for myself, I’m here to be put to work for God so that I can develop skills that will assist me in becoming an agent of change for communities in need around the world. I’m not here to relax and enjoy being served, although there are times for that, I’m here to push my limits and serve with intentionality and fervor.
I’m here to learn new things and humble myself at the feet of Jesus, not matter what year I am at the institute for GOD or how long I’ve been studying God’s word for myself. I’m here to use God’s word and spirit to build up my teammates. I’m here to allow worship and music to be an avenue for people to receive and give to God. I’m here to be a good friend. I’m here to be helpful. I’m here because God asked, so I came.

Boot camp is more than orientation to the various cultures our team is exposed to, or learning languages, or even learning the how and why’s behind the ministry GOD does… Boot camp is a test to see if you move with urgency to obey the voice of the Lord, and with gratitude. It tests your willingness to put yourself in environments you’re unfamiliar with, die to your preferences, be proactive in your team relationships, and if you can stay on task. It’s a test to see if you believe that your worship goes beyond the times we have as a team singing in song together. It’s a test to see if you believe in what God is doing in the world and that he wants you to be a part of it.

I’m feeling good today. A little tired just due to my body dealing with chronic illness, so I could use prayer for that, but mostly I’m in my element. There is no place i’d rather be than within the will of God for my life.
