Day 1

Any school trip I have ever been on throughout my time in k-12 school called for a lot of planning and details that are readily available for people to know and for the most part, set in stone.

For day 1 of my Internship, I showed up not knowing at all what I was to do except to show up at the main building on campus with my bags! Throughout the day I had to quickly realize that being flexible and ready for the unknown is an absolute necessity. While it was only the first day, I learned quickly to be humble and patient as there are so many moving pieces with such a huge group. Also, I realized that although I may not know everything that is coming next, I know that my leaders have planned everything and all that we do and go through as Interns is intentional for our development and growth. Everything is for a reason!

Boot Camp is asking a lot of me. It’s asking me to be patient, kind, and encouraging to those who are around me.
