This SLAM week was packed and amazing. I can’t believe it’s over. This week was such a wonderful time full of the Lord moving and touching hearts of students and growing and pushing us Interns to develop skills that can be used to help in ministry. I worked with a lot of the behind the scenes and coordination of this week, and I am so grateful for the teaching and instruction and opportunities I received to work this week. I was able to handle a lot of logistical tasks and this enabled my fellow Interns to go out and spend face to face time with the SLAM students and minster to them.
There were moments when I felt a longing to be out there serving alongside the students myself, but every time I was reminded that I am a part of a body. That I have skills and giftings that others don’t, and that they have skills and giftings that I don’t. I look back at this week and I see a beautiful picture of my fellow intern working together to cover a lot of ground and a lot of responsibilities in order to show students and leaders the love and truth of Jesus through the Word of God. What a wonderful thing.
I love working with students, and I am so proud of how they opened their hearts up to your movement and your spirit. Thank you Lord for how you moved. Protect the seed that was planted in these youths hearts as they head home Lord. I pray that you’d protect them and keep them close to you. Let the seed of your Word take deep root in their lives.
