I’m really happy for this opportunity given to me during this Summer Internship service. It was in SLAM and many more that impacted many and also impacted me. When we started service projects I found out like very many people waiting to help out in very many things. I did a service project of picking trash. People were thanking us for doing a great job and what surprised me is some people joined us in picking their trash around the community. They gave us mangoes to show that they appreciate and this showed me teamwork. I really was so happy and everything that we were doing during that SLAM was so touching because we used to do each and everything together. This separated me as a leader to continue to show that have a great responsibility to take on as a laborer to be a person that serves others. Mr. Gregg said that if you want to be great be a servant. That never made sense but the moment the SLAM students came it made sense because I was learning that responsibility and trying as much as possible to be one example to the rest. I’ve seen this summer is different from the others and if you are very attentive God is alive in us. Also I’m looking forward to hearing more and more of learning. They showed me that I should not serve just in the summertime, but I should continue helping with my community and also on an individual basis where I see help. Mrs. Ann tells us that where you see it needs help you do it. I look forward to seeing more examples and learning from Mr. Gregg because he is indeed a laborer.
