One of the amazing things about following Jesus is the promise that we won’t be alone in our efforts. People who want to serve God will find their way to others who want the same. I saw this evidenced in working with Mario and Nelly in EL Salvador, as well as meeting Pastor Toni. These people loved God and by following Him, we found our way to them so that we could build one another up to do the good work God has called us all to do.
Pastor Toni gave an amazing and discerning sermon to the SLAM students one morning, him saying yes to God prepared all of our hearts for that day of service. Mario and Nelly were a consistent and dependable presence during our time their. Their joy was contagious and their work inspired all of us. I loved getting to meet those who God was working in.
