Leading young kids can be a challenge. This week I’ve been able to co-led a devotional group with high school boys and younger kids (middle school) when they cleaned apartments for the elderly, which was fun to see them serving.

I found the most effective way to lead is to shut your mouth and lead by example – to just go and work. Others will follow when you set an example. People like to follow trends, and I’m not afraid to set them. Little kids are impressionable, so by me showing up and working hard as I do, they follow in that example, and usually, when they are younger, they will respect you for working as hard as them.
