I love making people laugh, but I noticed I wasn’t feeling too hot when people were laughing at other peeps jokes and not my own. I like making people in the room comfortable through humor, but I’ve learned that when I’m tested, I can rely on that attention for strength, and that’s not where my strength is supposed to come from.
Colossians 3:23 says this, “ Work hard for the Lord and not for man.”
If I’m bringin laughter into a room, it’s gotta glorify God, and not myself.
For the most part though, my spot as the really funny guy in the group is still secure, but even if for some crazy reason it wasn’t, that’d be okay, cause my confidence is found in my identity in Christ.
Thanks for reading volume four of Max adventures, I’ll see ya ‘round
