This past week I have been working at SLAM, alongside churches who brought their youth to come and participate in the mission trip. I enjoyed being involved in their SLAM week as I was In their shoes last year. With that, I had an opportunity to see my sisters, Espe and Lenore, as well as my brother Abram! I loved being able to watch them serve throughout the week and get exhausted for the Lord.
One of my favorite moments was working with the Academy for GOD rising 8th through 10th graders plan and lead their own kids camp in a low-income apartment complex. They were absolutely amazing! I watched them take on so much responsibility with setting up activities like an art station or water slide. It gave me hope for the next generations that God is cultivating to bear his fruit. They loved on these kids so well by entertaining them for hours even when they seemed so tired. At one point I saw two kids hanging onto an 8th grader who he just laughed and was so patient with them. Another student explained an art activity to the kids to make a spinning color wheel. I could share so many more moments of these students making me and God so proud this week! I loved working alongside SLAM Nashville!!!
