Praise the Lord!

One of my favorite experiences thus far has been worship in Morristown. We had the opportunity of joining a special Sunday service at The Church Community for God, our sister church there. It was so inspiring to see one of the youth I served with during SLAM camp leading worship with such a beautiful voice of praise. Having the chance to see her again and worship together gave us a sweet way to strengthen our friendship.

I noted though, that though there were only a few on stage leading the songs, our entire team led the worship. Even though most of us didn’t speak the language we were singing in, it was evident that we understood the heart behind the worship. The joy of the congregation was reflected in the dancing, loud praises, those kneeling to the ground in surrender and others praying for them.

It feels like the presence of God has been growing stronger within our groups, but I know that’s because He’s drawing each of us closer to Him individually. It’s an incredible thing to take a breath in worship and be unable to finish your prayer because of the roar of prayer behind you. I’ve found myself lost just listening to the voices of my brothers and sisters cry out to our Father countless times. As they whisper softly, as they sing passionately, and as they call desperately for God to move in miracles and to dwell in our hearts, my heart swells with the fullness of Christ. Jesus came so that we could have life to the full – a life full of worship with the people who love Him and pursue Him passionately. I can’t wait to share all the stories with everyone and get to worship with my family again! God is so good.
