My time in El Sal

This week in El Sal has been incredible. We put on SLAM for the youth all around El Salvador and the healing it brought for almost all of the youth was healing for me, my friends, our leaders, and I hope they can bring that healing and the work God did back to their homes and communities.

Personally I was very impacted by a young girl named Yessenia. I don’t have time to dive into the whole testimony, but God really used me to love her in her moment of pain. She has lost a lot at the age of 15. A young women who has been taken advantage of her whole life. It is not fair that children have to grow up so fast in these environments that don’t produce fruit because the system is broken. And when there was a chance for people to listen to her, for her to be loved, to meet with the Lord she took it because she needed God.

The kids we were serving in El Sal need God. If you were to listen to their testimonies, so many kids were saying “without God I am nothing”. They need God in a way we haven’t needed God. I want to need & want God like these kids did. That without God I am nothing. That impacted me. And I know God will continue to show what that means as we go to Africa and continue with this trip.
