One impactful lesson that I learned in Morristown was that language barriers do not restrict the Lord from working. We interns had gone to a church service with our sister church in Morristown. The pastors and congregation spoke mostly Spanish. It was challenging for us to interact with them just because we didn’t quite know what to say or how to say it. Fortunately, we had many trainees (more experienced Interns) who stepped up and translated for us. When we had gone into our worship time, it was amazing observing how the spirit of God was in the room. It didn’t matter that we didn’t know the words to the worship song or that we weren’t all Spanish speakers. God still moved. Many were on the ground in a position of surrender to the Lord. There was so much prayer that filled that room. This moment in Morristown was probably one of the most special to me, and most important lesson I learned.
