An impactful moment for me while being in Morristown was the church service the community put on for us. To give an overview, they welcomed us in, we had a time of worship with our band mixed in with some of our Morristown worship leaders, then we went into a time of hearing from Pastor Thomas, then Mr. Garner came up and gave us the word and encouraged the church.
After that we had a banqueting table that was delicious, we got to dine with one another, here stories and eat some really good food. A moment that impacted me the most was right before worship, and during. Right before I got to see my host home mom Alejandra, this last year I had a very special moment with her just reading Gods word. We got to reunite, and we went into Gods word again right before worship. During worship half way through I felt lead to pray over her, and even though we spoke different languages, I believe she understood what I was saying and it was special. Everyone in the church was praying and worshiping continuously, it was powerful getting too see how the Lord brings people together.
God’s word really unites people no matter the culture, because Gods word stands on its own, we cant allow our culture to influence how we interoperate Gods word and live it out. That was a special moment I got to have once again with Mrs. Alejandra, and I am grateful for first, the people there, the church, and thankful for how the Lord moved.
