Heyyyy Yall,
We are in El Salvador!!! This is absolutely incredible! We have been here for a few days now so I have been reflecting on some of my first impressions. First of all, the landscape here is beautiful and I am so in awe of the Lord. While my heart is so full, it is also breaking so much. The poverty here is so intense. We had the opportunity to go to a slums and pick up trash and seeing the way that people live was so heartbreaking and yet they are so full of joy and gratitude.
I have felt so much since being here and my prayer life has grown immensely through it all. We hosted a SLAM week here and I had the opportunity to serve some of the 9th grade kids from a school here by leading a PE class. It was so beautiful to see how excited those kids felt knowing that they were important and that somebody cared about them enough to come and spend time with them.
I’m not going to lie, there have been so many ups and downs. I have cried a lot and hurt even more, but the Lord has been so faithful. He has shown up in every time of worship, every Bible Study, every relationship I have made, and every single time of prayer. There are so many stories that I want to share and the testimonies that I have are overflowing!
I am so grateful for the time I have had to bond with my team and our cooperatives. I feel so blessed that I can’t even explain it all. I can’t imagine being anywhere else or doing anything else. I am right where I am meant to be and though it has been so challenging spiritually, mentally, and physically, the Lord is moving and working in my life and the lives of those around me and that is what I have been praying for for so long.
I love you all so much,
Anthem Bloyer
