Reflecting on Morristown

I was so thankful for the opportunity to go to Morristown with the team. After a week of recovering and resting from an unexpected surgery where I got my appendix removed, I rejoined the team for a weekend away of serving in Morristown, Tennessee. This time was so special and God moved so much. One of the moments that stood out to me was the church service with our Church Community for GOD sister church. We worshiped in both Spanish and English and had a powerful time of meeting with the Lord and drawing near to him as a unified church body. And as a result of our desire to meet with God, he faithfully met with each one of us. It was a beautiful time of unity that left us all filled up with hope and our faith was strengthened.

Mr. Garner gave a sermon from Luke 2 where he spoke to the fear and anxiety that the Hispanic community as a whole is facing. This time was powerful and Gods peace washed over us all which was such a praise and an answered prayer! After the message we had banqueting table which is a time of fellowship and communion as a church body. I am always so thankful for what God can do in a small amount of time when we just come before him in obedience and faith. I believe that those two things are a powerful combination. Overall I’m just so grateful for the time we had to worship, serve, and fellowship alongside our church in Morristown. I know that we all left feeling the presence of God stronger than we did before and our faith was renewed because of the good work that God did in us. Please keep praying for our team as we serve and prepare to head to East Africa! God has already done so much and there is so much to praise him for!
