I have spent the past 2 days at a kids camp with kids from the Academy for GOD. I was surprised by their hard work, their positive attitudes and well planned scheduling for such an extensive camp. I am a graduate from the Academy and did not think that I would be so genuinely surprised by these kids ability to create a camp like this. I was able to see them be attentive to the kids, welcoming and try their best to speak the little Spanish they knew so that they could connect with every single kid there. I was so grateful to spend time with them and can’t wait for the rest of the week! I see myself doing a lot of kids camps abroad, or just even working with youth abroad as we do SLAM trips and this felt like a small preview into the rest of my summer.
