The difference between preparing for a school trip and preparing to serve Jesus is different in many ways. You need to get mentally and spiritually prepared to serve Jesus. You don’t need to be very prepared for a school trip.
When you prepare for a school trip, you have to pack for the trip. When you are done packing, you are ready for the school trip. There is a schedule prepared for you so you know exactly what you are doing on the trip. You don’t have to prepare to leave your family for awhile.
But, when you are preparing to serve Jesus, there is a lot more to it. When preparing to serve Jesus, you have to get packed. But not only is that it, you have to get prepared mentally and physically. You also have to get prepared spiritually. When preparing to serve Jesus, everything is not planned out for you. You get somethings planned for you but God doesn’t always follow through with the plans. You have to trust in the unknown God has for you. When preparing to serve Jesus, you may think you are fully prepared but you are never fully prepared for what God has in store for you.
Boot Camp has called me to be in the moment and don’t worry about what’s next. I have learned to stay busy and use prayer because it is one of the most powerful things to help me get through these hard times. Trusting God through this time is gonna be hard but it’s gonna be worth it.
