A theme that’s been continuously showing up through this trip that started in SLAM, till now in El Salvador. The theme is service to the nations, and that makes sense since it’s NuNation summer, but even in the context of internship, this theme has been shown more to me in the last month than I think I’ve ever realized it previously.
I knew that international service was where my life was heading, but like the theme I didn’t know it was coming so soon, and that’s something I haven’t really talked about yet to many people. But I felt the pull to internship as Josie and Sophia the other two interns going as a Jr. in high school. The three of us felt the pull to internship as all of our closest friends were going, but we didn’t want that to be the reason. We all spent time praying over internship and had our moments that led us to joining the team.
But the theme of service to the nations has been throughout songs in the lead up to internship, and in SLAM. The big song that comes to mind is, When the Saints go marching in.
