I am getting to serve with a bunch of people my age that chose to be here. School trips aren’t always filled with kids that are pumped to serve the lord, but I on this trip am constantly around kids hungry to know Gods word and are striving to serve him the rest of their lives. This is also a lot harder lol, more expectations are put on you, and more of being in the unknown. This Boot Camp experience is really calling me to live in the moment, to not worry about what is coming next but to be fully engaged. Constantly prepping my mind and my heart to receive Gods word, to be ready to work and serve.
Sense I am surrounded by people that all have the same agenda, all want to serve the Lord, teamwork and unity is a big difference. When serving on school trips unity is still an aspect, but it is not as much of an expectation compared to Boot Camp. There are more expectations on us that require us to work together, and so far everyone I have been with put in the work, and have that same drive. I am thankful to be around a bunch of people that chose to be here. Leaders, peers, it really makes the difference when serving.
When It comes to prepping, a school trip is short, I know the duration, and often know what’s coming. When prepping for a school trip, and when I say school trip I am thinking school mission trip, (SLAM, Bible Retreats ect…) I am prayerful, reading Gods word, communicating with my friends, and our school provides time for us to prepare through worship, and Bible studies. prepping to serve Jesus isn’t just a trip, its my life. My whole life including school trip has been preparation, and Im just going to continue preparing through prayer and constantly reading Gods word. There’s so much more but that’s that from me today, see ya later.
