We just finished our first week here in Uganda and all I can say is wow. This place is amazing, and the people are so sweet. Something wanted to talk about was a lesson I learned from a few of our leaders. Mr. Garner hit on this the most but he talked about how it’s really important to have communication in everything. It’s important to not assume things. There have been a few times where our group and myself included have assumed something rather than just asking. This lesson is important because if we only rely upon what we think then how can we even be a team. To be a team means you need to be humble and listen to one another. I’m excited to keep growing on this trip.
