Morristown Trip!!!!

Heyyy Y’all,

Going to Morristown was such a special trip! We got to spend time serving some of the elderly with disabilities, talking to them, playing games with them, and eating ice cream with them. It was so special and so encouraging for me to see the joy with which they approached every situation even when they did not have the opportunities that we all have. I was challenged in the fact that I ought to be more grateful and find that same joy in the moments that I have whether easy or hard.

From there we had the joy of meeting everyone from C4GOD Morristown. It was so impactful for me. Going in I was a little nervous because there was a language barrier but I was praying that I would be able to feel the Lord move in me in some way. And He did! The Sunday that we went was Father’s day which was in and of itself a challenging day for me already. However, I made the resolve that I was going to spend the time I had being in prayer for others instead of dwelling on past hurt or pain. I prayed over and over that I would truly be able to feel the Lord and that He would show up and He did!

As I was praying, worshiping and crying out to the Lord I heard the worship leader begin talking about Father’s Day and I really started to get in my head again. But then he said to “Tell God Happy Father’s Day” and I immediately broke down. Acknowledging God as my Father is such a big part of my testimony and identity and yet sometimes I can get consumed in my own thoughts and feelings and forget all that He has done for me and brought me through. It was so good to be reminded that He is that Father that I can run to whenever I am in need.

It was so special being able to praise the Lord for all He has done with my brothers and sisters and know that even though we did not speak the same language or have the same culture we can be unified in Christ. It was such a powerful trip and time of bonding with my team, making new friends, being filled with the Word of God, and learning to be grateful for everything that the Lord has given me.

I love you all,
Anthem Bloyer
