I actually had no idea that we were heading to Morristown this last Saturday. It was the best unexpected experience so far this Internship. I’ve been to Morristown about 5 times and every time I’m there the Lord has moved in me and through me. This place for me is completely associated with the Spirit of the Lord and Service, as I’ve gone there for retreats and service.
After the last mission trip there I resolved to continue praying for this beautiful and faithful community. I have, since this winter, prayed for them every day. I prayed that they may really see the fruit of their obedience and faith In God, and that their community church may flourish and grow because of it. I know the Lord is so near to these people and they are so deserving of his blessings.
This trip, I got to go back and visit those I’ve been praying for, my friends and people whom I’ve met and am growing a relationship with. It was such a great time getting to see their faces, spend time with them, and get to know the children even more. Sunday we had church service with them, and then even shared a meal at a banqueting table. Following that time of fellowship Agent Garner shared with us the vision and future development of the the church. it brought me to tears seeing these prayers of mine and theirs being answered by God. The moments I got to have with them are just solidifying for me the calling I have to serve God’s people and I cant wait to do this abroad.
