Dinner in Mo’town

Our first night in Morristown we went to dinner with some of the leaders of the CC4GOD Morristwon (our sister church). I sat next to Margarita who has a son that I’ve known and loved for over a year now named Isaac. He is 2 years younger than me. I love this kid so much. I’ve watched him grow in his relationship with the Lord for only a short time, but the the amount of change in him has been monumental. I asked his mom that night what was the change in him that she was most proud of. She told that something she has noticed in Isaac is his willingness to speak up. She said that he used to be really quiet, not choosing to say anything in group settings, but ever since his first mission trip to Nashville and meeting us from the Institute for GOD, he has grown in his ability to speak.

I loved hearing this from his mom for two reasons. Firstly, because I’ve known Isaac for a while, I got to see his growth as well. I remember the first night I met him it took a bit to get him to share, but now you can see a huge change. This boy loves talking about God’s word. He loves serving his community. He loves getting together with his friends. And this is a testimony from his mom, who has watched him from the very beginning of his life. The second reason I love this is because this is exactly what the word of God does in your life. When you start developing a relationship with Jesus being educated in God’s word it opens your mouth. You develop the ability to talk and articulate. You find the freedom to speak up and I love that so much.
