It’s day 4 of Internship! I can already so much about the Lord’s work this week. SLAM has been an amazing experience to begin this trip with, giving us all opportunities to take on responsibilities and work on building good team dynamic. I personally have loved the chances I got to go on service projects with the SLAM student participants , sharing all that I’ve learned about service from the Academy for GOD. My heart has been so filled with all of the encouraging words spoken to me about how well I’ve been able to articulate the word of God to the students I’ve served alongside. I have continually praised the teachers and adults in my life who have put in the work to teach me Biblical values and how to understand the word of God. I could not imagine doing the work I am without my education that I can confidently say has prepared me for service like this.
I had one moment today at an apartment complex with a really nice older man named Rob. I had spotted him in the cafeteria reading his Bible and I felt called to ask him what he was reading. He ended up sharing how he wanted to write a book and was searching for Bible stories that aligned with his story after sharing it with me. I was so thankful in that moment to have shared with him what I knew and pray with him afterwards. This moment is just one instances that God has opened my eyes to this blessing of an education I’ve received and can share with those around the world.
I love you guys and can’t wait to share more.
