Nashville Update 1

In terms of preparing for a school trip there’s not much that goes into it. When it comes to serving Jesus on Internship, preparation is a whole different beast. In addition to the massive preparation that goes into packing, vaccines, and documents it is even more important to prepare my heart and mind. Boot Camp has been causing me to feel the need of drawing close to God and leaning on him when my own flesh is getting restless. I’ve been trying to be intentional with my down times, using them to journal, to spend time in the word, or to have fruitful conversations about what were learning.

The preparation has already been taxing on my mind and body and it’s only midway through the second day of Boot Camp, but I’ve been trying hard to be present in every moment and I’m already gleaning so much from it. I definitely anticipate things scaling up in difficulty throughout the rest of the trip, but I’m excited for what is to come and for the work we will be doing in the coming day/weeks.
