Day 2 Reflection

I think when preparing for a school trip in the past I have felt like it is a very temporary time or experience. Not to say that I didn’t value the trips or the experience but to say that it felt like it would only hold some form of temporary impact. This trip feels different in that it is a longer time frame but also that it i straining us to live differently. It is training us to live as servants and to follow God with our lives.

Boot camp so far has called me to have people hold me accountable. I have spoken to peers about the inevitable struggles we will go through on this trip and how we can help each other but also how we need to ask to be held accountable and be mature enough to recognize when we are in bad head spaces and ask people to help us. It is a hard thing to do and to commit to but boot camp has been teaching me that I will need to rely on my team and leadership.
