I found God

When I got here I was asked about what my expectations were and I said something like, “I want to find God” and now I can boldly say I found him the very day I made that statement.

Here’s how, I’ve been able to engage with a lot of people who are well versed with the bible asking them questions like,
Who is God? God is the “ultimate good”,from what I gathered, okay so how can it be such that I do what is good and not just what I know to be good but what would be good in God’s eyes

So then the question became, how do I know what is good in God’s eyes? And the answer became as obvious as just always listen to ‘God’s voice”,now here things got tricky ,how do i then get to really know that I’m listening to God’s word and not only my desires you which also became clear from the people I asked and the bible studies that you can’t hear God’s voice unless you read the bible.

Then another question emerged, How does one read the bible then? Because I’d tried and always got bored along the way since i could never make sense out of it and there it was, something that had nearly become a song from who ever came up to lead bible study, CONTEXT,you read the bible by finding context first otherwise you end up reading the bible as some sort of novel, so these seemingly very small questions are the ones that opened my eyes to the questions I’ve always had and honestly the fact that people who teach “the word” had never really told us these things is what had stopped me from reading the bible and going to church in general because I didn’t know how, and none of it made sense, but now I get excited to learn and I can say, my entire life has taken a big turn because of this and to me this is the equivalent of finding God.
