Kenya Update

Our team just finished a shorter SLAM service camp in Mombasa, Kenya! Out of all the places that we have gone, I think Kenya had some of the most joyful students. They were smiling all the time and happy to be participating in each and everything that did. What I observed from them, was that learning the word of God was what brought them the most joy. They were so happy to be learning more, and more about God and his word. They learned different ways to understand the Bible and to break it down.

A moment that brought me the most joy from our time in Kenya, was during a discussion session with the slam students. One young girl had asked me to share something with them. It didn’t matter what it was. They just wanted to hear what I had to say. I then shared a quick testimony about the faithfulness of God. Then I asked her to share something from her life, and she had expressed some of the challenges she had under gone, and how she remains full and faith and prayerful to the Lord through the whole time. Her testimony blessed my heart and challenged my faith greatly.
