El Salvador is the first place we have gone abroad so far this trip. When we first landed in the El Sal airport and stepped outside, the heat and humidity was way more than I was expecting. We spent all day traveling to the hotel/ villa area we stayed at for the weekend and it took us almost a whole day of travel because of the traffic and heavy rain. We got to meet our Salvadoran cooperatives and translators for the trip and they are all so incredible. Everyone has been so welcoming, uplifting and fruitful. During our SLAM camp I met some really amazing kids that I got to spend so much time talking to them and hearing their stories. My eyes have been opened to so much being here so far and I know God is growing me more and more everyday to be more like Him
